Selling Kindle ebooks

I just recently 'published' two short stories on Amazon's Kindle, Extra Fare & Spared. While they're essentially experiments in seeing how the physical process is done, seeing them sell would be nifty. However, I don't have any experience in this, so I don't know how to get people aware enough to try them out. Suggestions?

Advertising and PR makes things sell. I would have no idea how to get in contact with such people, but that be the truth.
